SMS messages are sent only to drivers assigned to active freight loads who have provided consent to receive operational dispatch messages from Lake Erie Transportation. Message frequency varies based on active load assignments.

GPS location is collected only when a driver actively uses the tracking page or LET Driver app for an assigned Lake Erie load. In the mobile app, background location may be used after the driver starts tracking so dispatch can see load progress while the app is not open.
Location sharing is limited to active dispatch operations. Tracking stops when the driver ends the trip, the load is marked delivered or closed by dispatch, or the driver disables location permission on the device.
Location data is shared only with LET dispatch staff and is used solely to confirm driver position, coordinate pickup and delivery, and support freight operations during an active load.
Location data is not sold, shared with third parties for marketing, or used for advertising.
Location pings and load data are retained in our dispatch system for operational recordkeeping. Data associated with completed loads is retained for a reasonable period consistent with freight industry recordkeeping practices.
